Usually, I find the advice to use products with moisturizing properties to cause my oily skin to get worse, but this product is the exception. Even sample products from a dermatologist made it worse and they were all creamy, moisturizer style.
That product had been replaced with an absorbent version so I looked for something different and found this one. Glad I tried it. I only have to use it for 3 consecutive nights a few times per year. After the first night, any red bumps might seem to be worse, but I follow that with another night of washing with a harsh, drying soap and then waiting for skin to dry before applying a pretty heavy coat and then wait him a few more hours before going to bed.
After my shower on the 3rd morning after, there is almost no sign of anything, and any tiny traces are gone after another couple of days of not using it. Oh, I have found that this product and others in the category can discolor bedding, so that's why I let it dry for hours before going to bed. That at least lessens the problem, but if you have dark colored bedding or you let clothing touch the treated skin, it could get discolored EVEN AFTER it seems to have dried.
I often use a sacrificial towel over my pillow to lessen the problem, and I'm careful if I pull clothes over my head after using the product on my face.
Top critical review. This gel is awful. I mean really bad. I've used benzoyl peroxide medications my entire adult life and for some bizarre reason decided to give this a try. It made me breakout like never before, and caused ridiculous amounts of irritation. Even Proactiv which is notorious for destroying skin didn't cause this kind of adverse reaction. Google only returns this Amazon webpage, along with some other unknown ecommerce sites listing this product for sale.
No website, no business registrations, and zero proof that AMJ Skin Research had "originally developed this for physicians and dermatologists through clinical research" as they claim in their bullet points. Try looking for yourself. I work with several reputable contract manufacturers in the U.
If this company hasn't even bothered to register, I have serious doubts that they've conducted the mandated 3rd party testing or received the required certified test results to ensure no pathogens or contaminants are inside the bottle.
Do you really want to be putting this on your face? Aside from that, the images are highly deceptive which make the product look far larger than it is. The bottle is tiny, like travel size small. In addition, the pump jammed halfway through the bottle. Tossed it in the trash where it belongs. If you don't care about paying "luxury" prices for a potentially dangerous product made by a sketchy fly-by-night operation, go ahead and give this a shot.

I started using this in August and my skin did purge soooo bad and I started to lose faith but I kept using it once a day or once every other day and it took almost 3 months to see a huge difference.
Images in this review. A little bit goes a long way. Nothing has ever worked like this cream. I am a 46 year old woman who has struggled with acne most of my life. I am lucky enough not to have scarring, but I do wake up frequently to find things have brewed on my face overnight, much to my dismay.
I was using a Murad product fast fix with good results, but it was discontinued and the item that seems to have replaced it works much less effectively. So I was looking for something better and stronger, and I came across Claridad on a website that was rating acne products.
I do think it is working well, I have only used it for about 2 weeks at night after I wash off my makeup and use an exfoliating brightening pad not this brand. I have not had any major breakouts since starting it, and I also am not experiencing skin dryness at all. My one issue is that the consistency is a bit strange.
That's the only reason I'm withholding a star - otherwise I would highly recommend. If there was a half star, i'd give it 4. Well, like just about everyone else who is probably shopping this product, I had acne. Adult onset acne. What's strange is I never really had it all that bad as a teen. What my doctor highly suspects set it off is the fact that I quit smoking a few months back.

I read about this product on a skin care blog and while expensive, I figured whats the worst that could happen? I'm out 20 bucks? I was already out a few hundred at a minimum by that point for products that did not work anyway, and I was desperate so I pulled the trigger.
In about a week and a half my problems were a thing of the past. This stuff is easy to apply. It comes in a pump style bottle. I put on some in the AM after I got out of the shower and then again at night before bed. The product also comes in a generous size. I have still not ran out of my initial pump. I guess everyone's body is different so I obviously can't guarantee that this product will have similar results for you, but trust me when I tell you that I was overjoyed with the results it provided in my life.
Acne sucks! One person found this helpful. So I have tried every Walmart product over the years and have been unsatisfied with any of them. I decided to give this a try based on the reviews. I think it's been a few weeks into using this now, and I am now starting to see a difference. First I was impressed with the gel, because I have never used a Gel acne treatment before. The first couple of uses I didn't care for the smell, but honestly I can't even smell it anymore.
The email did give the instructions and what to expect. It did mention it may dry out your face to start out with a small amount and work your way up. My face is dry anyway due to it being winter time, but I have been using moisturizer. Honestly, it hasn't dried out my face anymore than my face is already dry.
I have already started noticing a difference in my face, only a few weeks into using this. As long as it still continues to work, I will be purchasing again when I run out. I did also love that the seller emails you to explain things and explain if your not satisfied that they will even go as far as refunding your money. I also just received a card to try out another product, for free.
This has been the best customer experience. I originally bought this for my 17 year old daughter who suffers from a severe case of acne.
